Who in D Co is responsible for RM?

Every member

Risk management is everyone's responsibility. In D Co, every member helps identify hazards, assess risks, and implement controls during planning and execution, not just a single person or role. The RM process—spot hazards, judge likelihood and severity, apply appropriate controls, and monitor effectiveness—is a continuous habit that happens at all levels and in all activities. While the RM officer provides guidance, training, and oversight and supervisors coordinate RM within their units, the actual recognition of hazards and application of safeguards occur wherever decisions are made in the field. This shared responsibility ensures hazards are addressed promptly and the unit can adapt as conditions change, reinforcing safety and mission success.
